Itza is a red seal certified chef, who has been working professionally in the kitchen for over 23 years. She has owned and operated many successful restaurants, including "Frida's", on the mainstreet of Collingwood Ont. The locals know her as “the Taco lady”, and everytime she opens up a new restaurant, the locals ALWAYS come knocking. Itza learned to cook true authentic Mexican recipes from the women in her family. Itza wants to share her food as a way of sharing her passion with others, and showcasing Mexican culture.

 

Her current business is a pop up Taco stand, running every weekend from June - Sept (11am-4pm).

She changes her menu every week, to continue to showcase her ability as a chef, but also to keep things interesting.  From tacos, burritos, tostadas, chimichangas, you will not leave hungry. Not to mention the tasty dessert of the Churro truck addition that is coming to La Casita Tacos in summer 2023!
