Dib Startup Stories was created in hopes of fostering a community for BIPOC creatives to showcase their talent and hard work on a global level. During the COVID-19 pandemic many individuals took it upon themselves to start small businesses in order to cure boredom and supplement their lost income. Many of these businesses were highlighted on local television and within their respective communities. However many of these entrepreneurs from marginalized communities were left out of the spotlight. In order to rectify this, we have created a website that serves as a connected hub for all creatives' social channels. These channels include interviews, posts, contact information and a link to each professional’s product/service/art. Our platform serves to not only bring together local creatives who are looking to support each other, but also create a community and audience that is dedicated to helping support small local creations.
